On Monday, 20 April 2026, around 15:10–15:30, a camper van crashed on the slip road of the A6 motorway in Lelystad, Netherlands. According to sources, the camper left the road at the exit, then went down the entrance ramp and came to a stop in the verge. Two passengers were injured (some sources say several people).
A medical helicopter was deployed and landed near the motorway. The injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. The slip road towards Almere and the exit from the A6 towards Lelystad were fully closed for several hours.
A separate incident on the same A6 occurred on 18 April around 22:30 near Emmeloord: a converted van camper overturned, injuring the driver. The recovery was delayed due to a suspected gas leak, which turned out to be unfounded.
