A motorhome caught fire on the A1 near Lübeck on Tuesday evening, causing significant traffic disruption. The Fiat Ducatoⓘ began to smoke and then caught fire while driving. The two occupants managed to pull over to the hard shoulder and exit the vehicle unharmed. The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade, but all three lanes were closed during the operation, leading to a multi-kilometer traffic jam. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
