On Tuesday evening, July 28, a caravan and a passenger car caught fire at the Ylseröd campsite north of Strömstad. According to the rescue service, the flames spread to trees and the surrounding area. Firefighters, police and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
According to some reports, two people suffered smoke inhalation and their condition is being assessed; other reports say no hospitalisation was needed. A third source states there were no injuries. By 20:15 the fire was extinguished, with the caravan and car completely burnt out. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
