On Thursday, May 21, 2026, around 15:45, a serious accident occurred on the Afsluitdijk (A7 highway) near the Lorentzsluis bridge. A car — according to one source without a trailer, according to another with a trailer — collided with a camper van, causing the camper to overturn onto its side.
