From October 8 to 15, the Los Alerces National Park in the Argentine province of Chubut will host an international meeting of motorhome and trailer owners. About 250 vehicles from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay are expected.
Organizing the event took more than a year, including coordination with the park administration and provincial authorities. Organizers have developed a special plan to avoid congestion: most participants will stay at the Los Maitenes campsite, while the rest will use other authorized areas in the park. The route includes visits to Esquel, Trevelin, Corcovado and Piedra Parada. The program features an official ceremony with a military band, folklore evenings, and traditional dishes (asado, stew, empanadas). The event coincides with the tulip blooming season in Trevelin. The seven-day stay is expected to bring economic benefits to local businesses — gas stations, shops, restaurants and tour operators — and strengthen Chubut's status as a tourist destination.
