Basilicata tourism board promotes outdoor tourism at Parma show

Rentalis, based in San Severino Marche, will exhibit at the Salone del Camper trade fair in Parma from 12 to 20 September 2026. The dealer announced partnerships with motorhome manufacturers Blucamp and Etrusco, expanding its range beyond Rimor caravans. New 2027 motorhome models will be displayed at the Blucamp (hall 3) and Etrusco (hall 6) stands, with market launch scheduled for next year.

The 17th Salone del Camper – Caravan Accessori Percorsi e Mete will take place in Parma from 12 to 20 September 2026, organised in collaboration with APC (Associazione Produttori Caravan e Camper). In 2025 the show attracted over 107,000 visitors (+3%), with more than 310 exhibitors from 22 countries and 600 vehicles displayed across 110,000 sq m. According to Promocamp Italia president Luigi Boschetti, non-hotel tourism grew by 14.7% in the first quarter of 2026, and the Outdoor Tourism Observatory estimates over 68 million overnight stays and around €5.12 billion in direct spending.

Camping Le Fonti in Cervarezza (Ventasso) marks 50 years since 1975. Since 1975, it has grown into a 4-star campsite at 1,000 m altitude with 260 pitches for motorhomes and caravans and 220 bungalows, most privately owned. It hosts tens of thousands of tourists annually, mainly from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Denmark and the UK. Since 1975, additions include an indoor pool, wellness centre, restaurant, bar, gym and playground. The restaurant is now Thai Pam, run by Thai chef Panjaree Boonchuay. Since 1975, three-day celebrations feature music, shows and lunch.

In October, many campsites in Northern Italy close, but some remain open. For couples, travellers without school-age children and families with small children, the off-season can be suitable due to milder temperatures and fewer tourists. In South Tyrol and around Lakes Garda, Maggiore and Como, selected sites for motorhomes and caravans are still available. For example, Camping Montiggl is open until early November, with October prices from 20 to 37 euros per night plus 12 or 16 euros per adult. Naturcamping Lärchwiese accepts guests from 4 to 18 October 2026 at 44.50 to 58 euros per night, including two adults. Camping Arco is open until 8 November 2026, with a pitch at 12.50 euros per night, 11.50 euros per adult and 7 euros per child. Agricamping Mabellini is open until 20 October, with a 50-square-metre pitch at 21 euros and a 100-square-metre pitch at 37 euros per night, plus a per-person fee.

The IAT office in Santarcangelo di Romagna recorded 18,611 contacts from January to August 2026, up 2,731 year-on-year. The camper area on via Della Resistenza hosted over 4,000 motorhome travellers.

Antilope Van has presented the Flex 2 2026 camper based on the Renault Trafic L1H1. The camper without a pop-up roof is priced from 46,900 euros, with the Confort version at 49,900 euros. It offers a 1.95 m by 1.30 m bed, a kitchen with a 30-litre compressor fridge, an outdoor shower and a portable toilet. A 60 Ah lithium battery, 1,200 W inverter, 200 W solar panels and 40/20-litre water tanks provide up to three days of off-grid autonomy. The Flex 3 with a pop-up roof starts at 54,900 euros, and the Confort at 57,900 euros. Since 2021, over 1,500 camper vans have been produced, with a new factory near Caen planned for early 2027.
