The Munzert family from Bevern in Lower Saxony converted a 12-metre Iveco Crossway intercity bus into a motorhome with a six-metre kitchen, shower, washing machine and beer tap. According to AutoŽivě calculations, a month at a campsite for a family of four would cost 20,700 Kč, while a mortgage on a 3+kk flat in Prague costs 53,841 Kč per month. However, the Karvánky campsite operates only from June to August, and permanent residence cannot be registered in a bus. The conversion is approved by a local authority for 1,000 Kč, but driving it requires a category C licence, and motorway tolls are up to 4.5 times higher than for a bus.
