An owner converted the Fangchengbao Titan 7 (钛七) electric vehicle into a camper for sleeping in the car. The total cost was under 300 yuan (about $40) for a 5 cm self-inflating mattress and privacy curtains. The rear seats fold flat, creating a 1.9 m long and 1.13 m wide sleeping area, enough for two people. The 35.6 kWh battery powers the air conditioner all night (8 hours) with less than 10% battery drain, and provides 220 V external power for appliances.
