A conversion of the Maxus G50 PHEV plug-in hybrid MPV into a camper van has been assessed. The 2026 G50 PHEV Pilot Edition goes on sale in July 2026 at a guide price of 139,800 yuan. The third row folds flat to create a space about 1.38 m deep, 1.1 m wide and 0.8 m high. A budget setup using a swivel base, pine boards and a latex mattress costs about 570 yuan and does not alter the vehicle structure. The factory V2L output is rated at 6.6 kW, and hybrid fuel consumption is quoted at 1.42 l/100 km.
