1989 caravan restored on a minimal budget

A woman has renovated an old caravan purchased for 570 euros. She completely updated the interior in a rustic style and repainted the body. The project gained popularity on social media.

Two entrepreneurs from Craiova have abandoned plans to create a caravan and camping park. The project was halted by the local municipality due to a temporary building ban on the 1000 sq m plot, which would have required the development of a separate urban zoning plan.

The Dacia Bigster SUV serves as the base for a compact camper project using modular solutions from Australian specialist ARB. The conversion includes a heavy-duty drawer system, a slide-out kitchen module, and a rigid roof-top tent, adding approximately 187 kg. The estimated cost for the package is 6400–7000 euros, keeping the total price of a fully equipped vehicle under 40,000 euros.

Publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Square Glade Games announced the release date for Outbound. The open-world exploration game, where players live in and customize a van, will launch on April 23 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PS5. A playable demo is now available for Switch and Switch 2.

With the base vehicle starting at around 26,000 euros, the total project budget is 33,000–35,000 euros, making it significantly cheaper than classic campers.
