Mercedes Celeste: 'There is no room for caravans in the Balearic Islands and enough of motorhome tourism'

A spokesperson for Palma City Council stated that there is no space for caravans or motorhomes in the city or across the archipelago, neither for tourists nor for residents using them as housing due to high property prices. The authorities refuse to build infrastructure (toilets, waste disposal points) and plan to step up surveillance and fines. In recent weeks, Palma has increased police staffing to patrol areas where these vehicles congregate.
