The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has preliminarily approved an expansion of parking restrictions for oversized vehicles, including RVs, on unincorporated county streets. The new rules define nonconforming vehicles as those wider than 8 feet, taller than 7.5 feet, or longer than 20 feet (alternate sources cite 2.4 m, 2.3 m, and 6 m).
The restrictions will apply to areas such as East Los Angeles and West Carson. Owners may obtain up to 30 single-day parking permits per year. A final vote is scheduled for next week.
