The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has finalized an ordinance expanding the list of unincorporated areas where parking of oversized vehicles, including RVs, is prohibited. The ban applies to vehicles wider than 2.4 m, taller than 2.3 m, or longer than 6 m.
New restricted zones include East Los Angeles, West Carson, Azusa, and West Los Angeles. Previously, restrictions applied only in a few cities. The expansion follows resident complaints about long-term parking and reduced visibility.
The ordinance takes effect in 30 days, with signage installation taking about six months. Owners may obtain up to 30 one-day parking permits per year, and exemptions exist for service needs.
