With the start of the summer season, the Kandıra district of Kocaeli has implemented new regulations for tent and caravan stays along its coastline. Overnight stays are now only permitted in designated areas, specifically the Cebeci and Bağırganlı Caravan Parks operated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, as well as other licensed private sites. Camping and caravan parking are banned on beaches, in forests, and in other public spaces. Violators face administrative fines, and if warnings are ignored, caravans and tents may be removed by gendarmerie and coast guard units.
