The Kocaeli Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) has approved a ban on parking caravans outside designated parking areas. The decision takes effect on April 1, 2026.
The ban aims to address traffic and public order problems caused by chaotic parking. Caravans parked in prohibited zones will be towed by police and municipal services. Restrictions for heavy goods vehicles on some streets are also introduced.
