Due to the lentil flowering on the Castelluccio plateau (Castelluccio di Norcia), Monti Sibillini Park has introduced temporary restrictions on car and motorhome access. The ban applies on four weekends: June 20–21, June 27–28, July 4–5, and July 11–12, 2026.
Parking and shuttle services are available for visitors. The park has purchased two new buses — an electric and a hybrid. Motorcycles, local residents, and tourist coaches are allowed free passage. The measure aims to protect the ecosystem and evenly distribute tourist flow.
