Police in Istanbul's Beykoz district have removed motorhomes that had been parked for a long time on the coastal road between Kanlıca and Çubuklu. Residents had complained that the vehicles caused environmental pollution.
After police warnings, some owners moved their motorhomes themselves. Vehicles whose owners could not be reached were taken to a car park by tow trucks. The removal was filmed from the air.
Records were made of the motorhomes after the operation. Some vehicles returned to the same coastal road shortly afterwards. The authorities are expected to continue monitoring and enforcement to prevent similar situations.
