Caravan Owners Ask Ministry About Speed Limits, Inspections and Parking

Turkey's National Camping and Caravan Federation has asked the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure for official clarification on six issues concerning motorhomes. The federation wants clear rules on the classification of M1-class vehicles, speed limits, annual inspections, the definition of a 'camping vehicle', weight limits, and the creation of safe parking areas for caravans on intercity roads. The request follows inconsistent enforcement of regulations across different regions and institutions.

Pamukkale starts construction of recreation area and camper site

The Pamukkale municipality has begun work on a 4,000 sq m recreation area and a 2,000 sq m camp and caravan site facing the UNESCO World Heritage site. The recreation area will include a restaurant, rest and exhibition spaces, walking paths, a children's playground and an open-air amphitheatre. The camp site will have capacity for 5 caravans and 14 motorhomes. Mayor Ali Rıza Ertemur said the projects are expected to boost tourism in the region.
