Tsarevo municipality designates over 40 sites for temporary camper and caravan placement

The municipal council of Tsarevo, Bulgaria, has designated over 40 properties for temporary placement of tents, motorhomes, and caravans from May to October. The sites are located in Tsarevo, Ahtopol, and nearby villages, on agricultural land, pastures, and forest areas outside beach territories and protected zones. Suspicious tender: a caravan campsite may appear on a scenic beach near Sinemorets

The Bulgarian municipality of Tsarevo held a tender for leasing 35 hectares of land for a campsite with 85 caravans, 20 campervans, and tents. The winner was the company PEPE.BG, linked to the only individual participant whose bid was invalidated. The annual rent is 6,700 euros excluding VAT, and part of the site lies within the forest fund of Strandzha Nature Park.

Scandal brewing over large caravan campsite at Butamyata beach in Sinemorets

Tsarevo municipality has leased four municipal plots totaling nearly 35 decares on the first line of Butamyata beach for a caravan campsite. The tender raised suspicions due to the participation of two connected candidates, one of whom was disqualified as an individual. The winner, company 'Pepe.bg', secured the site for three years at €6,700 per year, planning to accommodate 85 caravans, 20 campervans, and tents, straining the infrastructure of Strandzha Park.

German tourists in campervan rescued in Bulgaria after navigation error

On June 6 around 8 p.m., firefighters in Kardzhali received a report of a German family stuck in a campervan in a wooded area near the village of Dolishte. Navigation led them onto a rain-washed road. Rescuers and locals freed the vehicle; the tourists were escorted to the village of Kaloyantsi for the night.
