Two new light campers based on popular Japanese minivans have entered the market.
Smile Factory introduced the Offtime BASE, built on the Suzuki Every. It features a transverse pop-up roof that provides an interior height of about 2 meters, and two sleeping areas: one in the upper section and a lower loft measuring 1800×1200 mm. Standard equipment includes a 1500-watt inverter, a 100 Ah lithium-ion battery with heating, and patented air suspension. The exterior is modified with a suspension lift, shortened front bumper, and larger-diameter wheels. The price starts at 2.5 million yen.
Another manufacturer, TP Outdoor Design, launched the Travoi NV100 Mio based on the Nissan NV100. The model is designed for two people: the rear seats are removed, and a full flat bed is installed in their place. The interior is finished in light tones with wood, and thermal insulation is fitted. It includes a folding table, shelves, and a socket for a portable battery.
