Three new campsites open in Yeongju: glamping in a former school and starlight camping

Bangtaesan Solmaru Pension & Auto Camping in Girin-myeon, Inje County, Gangwon Province, announced a special discount event until August 15. Phone reservations for two or more nights or groups of 10 or more receive a 5% discount on accommodation.

The Hallasan National Park Management Office in Jeju Province announced a special crackdown on unauthorized entry and illegal camping from July 24 to August 23. Patrols will be intensified on Friday nights and weekends, focusing on the Baengnokdam summit area and parking lots along Routes 516 and 1100. Violators face criminal charges or fines.

The 2026 Andong Su Festa will be held from July 25 to August 2 on the Nakdong River bank in Andong. Organized by the Korean Spirit and Culture Foundation, the event features swimming pools, water slides, water bikes, paddleboards, concerts (10CM, Kwon Jin-ah, Soyou, Secret, izna), food trucks, and a camping zone for motorhomes and tents. A shuttle boat connects the stream area to the main festival site. Operating hours are 10:00 to 21:00 daily.

Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on July 23 that it will operate a temporary campsite called 'Han River Bam-ping' (Night+Camping) at Yeouido and Ttukseom Hangang Parks throughout August. The campsite will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m., with 200 tent spaces available. Use of the site is free but requires advance booking via private platforms. Overnight stays beyond one night and cooking are prohibited. The initiative aims to boost the local night-time economy.
