The official opening of Green Park at Pian di Poma took place in Sanremo. The mayor attended the ceremony. The area includes 96 camper spaces facing the sea and a fully redeveloped area.
The total area is nearly 10,000 square metres. The parking is for transit campers, with a maximum stay of 36 hours. The 24-hour rate ranges from 39 to 52 euros depending on the season. The parking is automated: it features a smart booking system via smartphone, Wi-Fi, a service area and video surveillance. It also has electric columns, toilets and a laundry; electricity is paid for based on actual consumption.
The project was realised through a public-private partnership (project financing). According to one source, the investment was about 3.2 million euros and the concession is for 30 years. According to another source, the investment was about 4 million euros and the concession is for 33 years. A new source specifies: the project cost is 3,234,000 euros, the area is 16,350 sq m, and the concession is 33 years. The park also includes pedestrian and cycling routes and a 20-car parking lot with EV charging stations.
