Bobingen revisits plans for motorhome stopover

The municipality of Reichenau has reduced second-home tax amounts for permanent campers, but users of the Willam-Platz site refuse to pay the tax at all. Around 50 permanent campers attended the municipal council meeting in mid-September 2026, with many arguing the tax demand is unjustified.

Rikis Wohnmobile GmbH continues operations after relocating to Ketzerweg 3 in Schifferstadt. Around 100 vehicles are on the premises. The company has undergone a change in management.

Dethleffs has unveiled the Graneo A 6823-2, a new motorhome based on the Mercedes Sprinter. The model measures 7.98 m long, 2.35 m wide and 3.42 m high, and is powered by a 190 hp engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive and twin tyres. Unladen weight is 4,190 kg, with a gross vehicle weight of 5,500 kg. Standard equipment includes a 325 Ah LiFePO4 leisure battery, a 45 A charger, six 230 V sockets, four USB ports and a control panel. Options include a second 325 Ah battery for €4,999, a 220 W solar panel for €1,899 and a macerating ceramic toilet with a 137-litre waste tank for €3,569. Fresh water capacity is 232 litres, waste water 222 litres. The base price is €169,999; with the off-grid package it reaches €180,466. Additional packages: Travel at €1,799, Chassis at €2,499, Chassis Winter at €749 and Technology at €12,499. A fully equipped model can exceed €200,000.

At the Caravan Salon, the Neckarvan Coastline camper was presented by a small manufacturer from Neckarsteinach, Hesse. The base version is built on a Fiat Ducato L3H3 (6 m, high roof), with an option for a Mercedes Sprinter. Length/width/height: 5.99/2.05/2.76 m, gross vehicle weight 3.5 t, 2 berths.
