Yeongjuho Auto Camping gets new toilets and 20 caravans in upgrade

Starting July 1, the Namdong Industrial Complex No. 2 public parking lot in Incheon, South Korea, will operate as a mixed-use facility, with 54 of its 197 spaces reserved for motorhomes and caravans. Applications are open from June 10 to 15, with winners selected by random draw. The parking will initially run on a six-month basis, switching to annual from 2027. Oversized vehicles will pay 60,000 won per month (1.5 times the standard rate).

Yeongbyeokjeong Auto Camping, located in Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, offers camping on a site of approximately 16,500 sq m. The campground operates 24/7 year-round, with weekend rates of 30,000 won per night. Facilities include tent sites, a caravan zone, burners, showers, and restrooms, along with walking trails to the historic Yeongbyeokjeong pavilion.

A glamping caravan park named Youth Glamping Caravan has opened in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The site covers 5,000 m² and is located near the Hangang Geumdae-ri Leisure Town. It offers glamping tents and caravans, plus campfire areas. Entry is free, but accommodation requires advance booking. Smoking and pets are prohibited on the premises.

The Uiryeong Fire Department (South Korea) announced on April 12 the release of safety guidelines for campsites, including glamping and caravans, due to increased spring visitors. The agency warned that dry and windy weather can accelerate fire spread. Recommendations include checking KC certification for electrical and gas appliances, placing fire extinguishers near heat sources, and prohibiting carbon monoxide-emitting devices in enclosed spaces.

The city of Daegu (South Korea) will conduct a three-week inspection of parking lots starting March 8 to target long-term RV and caravan parking. From August 28, amendments introduce fines up to 1 million won (about $750) for such violations.
