Carlow. At a county council meeting, plans for a campervan parking site along the River Barrow were discussed. Councillor Fergal Browne noted that tourists spend money in local restaurants and pubs but have no place to park overnight. Chief Executive Coilin O'Reilly proposed 10 pitches on a site purchased by the council in April 2026, which will also include a park and social housing for the elderly.
Leitrim. Local authorities approved an application for a campervan and caravan campsite in Kilticklogher. The facility will include five serviced pitches for motorhomes or caravans, five tent pitches, as well as a sauna and a relaxation area. Permission was granted with 12 conditions, including a limit on the number of vehicles.

Lake District. Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges caravan park received permission to install a sauna. The project was approved by the National Park Authority in January 2025. The sauna, under 9 sq m, will be placed on a wooden platform between the playground and a lodge, near reception. During consultation, the sauna's location was moved to avoid risk to an oak tree's root zone; in place of a diseased ash tree to be removed, the park will plant a cherry, oak and rowan.
