Two new camper areas have been approved in Italy. In Villanova Mondovì, the municipal council approved the construction of an equipped camper stop on Via Frabosa. The work costs €75,000, of which €60,000 comes from the Piedmont region and €15,000 from the municipality. The area is intended for temporary parking of tourist vehicles.
In Rieti, the city council on July 2 adopted a change to the general plan and declared the project of public utility for a new camper area on Via Fonte Cottorella. The project, costing over €200,000, includes infrastructure with modern standards for tourists. Deputy Mayor Chiara Mestichelli noted that the facility will boost tourism, including pilgrimage routes during the year of Franciscan celebrations.
