In Satsuma, Livingston Parish, Louisiana, the first phase of Patriots RV Resort opened, timed to coincide with US Independence Day celebrations. The facility is located near Interstate I-12.
According to one source, the first phase includes 450 RV sites, 33 cottages, pools, a lazy river, fishing, and pickleball courts. According to another source, the resort includes 91 full-hookup RV and caravan sites, as well as 12 two-story cottages. The opening featured a concert with several performers and a planned fireworks display.
Upon completion, the resort is expected to become one of the largest in the region.
