In Lecce, the debate over the construction of a municipal camper area in Baden Powell Park continues. The Vic Salento APS association is demanding clarifications from the administration regarding the delay of a project that has been awaited for 18 years. According to the association, six tenders have been announced, but work has not yet begun. Vic Salento suspects that the delays may be linked to the promotion of private initiatives, particularly the expansion of a private gas station on the ring road.
Deputy Mayor Roberto Giorgio Anguilla denied the accusations, stating that the administration is awaiting the allocation of funds and is following all procedures. He emphasized that once the necessary payments are completed, the project will be prepared and a tender announced. The project cost is estimated at around 600 thousand euros and includes the creation of an equipped area with spaces for people with disabilities.
