Incheon expands parking for motorhomes and caravans

A glamping caravan park named Youth Glamping Caravan has opened in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The site covers 5,000 m² and is located near the Hangang Geumdae-ri Leisure Town. It offers glamping tents and caravans, plus campfire areas. Entry is free, but accommodation requires advance booking. Smoking and pets are prohibited on the premises.

The Uiryeong Fire Department (South Korea) announced on April 12 the release of safety guidelines for campsites, including glamping and caravans, due to increased spring visitors. The agency warned that dry and windy weather can accelerate fire spread. Recommendations include checking KC certification for electrical and gas appliances, placing fire extinguishers near heat sources, and prohibiting carbon monoxide-emitting devices in enclosed spaces.

Kia announced the 2026 Camper Van based on a minivan, designed for daily use and weekend camping. The expected price is around 50 million won (approx. $37,000), significantly lower than traditional motorhomes costing 70–100 million won. The model features rotating seats, a bed conversion system, a kitchen unit (fridge, microwave, induction cooktop, sink), and a hybrid powertrain. Solar charging and extended off-grid power capability are included.

In the Toegye-dong area of Chuncheon, an RV (Staria) collided with a K5 passenger car. The accident occurred on June 2 around 11:04 AM. Two people sustained minor injuries. Police and fire authorities responded at the scene.
