A proposed RV resort in Wedowee, Alabama, has sparked public and private debate. The resort, planned for a vacant lot on Old Highway 431 between Benefield Funeral Home and Crystal Cove, would include 74 RV lots with hookups, 20 cabins, a swimming pool, pickleball and basketball courts, a playground, a dog-walking area, an indoor game room, and nature trails. Maximum stay would be two weeks, contrasting with a nearby park offering 12-month leases. No boat ramp is planned. The land is owned by Woodland mayor Scott Carter.
