An Anchorage development agency is soliciting ideas from developers to transform a vacant 15-acre historic site into an RV resort with mixed-use elements. The plan includes at least 135 RV spots, 18 workforce housing units, retail spaces, and community amenities, addressing seismic risks that limit traditional housing. The authority intends to invest up to $1 million in pre-development and is considering a ground lease model for the project.
