New camper parking lot in Changwon
Changwon City (Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea) has created a dedicated public parking lot for campers in Hyeondong, Masanhappo-gu. The 43-space (3,312 sq m) facility is located under Hyeondong Bridge.
Until the end of the year, the parking lot will operate free of charge in a pilot mode, with paid use planned from January 2027: 70,000 won per month for vehicles longer than 6 metres and 60,000 won for shorter ones. Applications from camper owners registered in Changwon are accepted from October 13 through the city portal on a first-come, first-served basis.
This is the third such facility in the city after parking lots opened in Uichang (47 spaces) and Jinhae (41 spaces) districts in July 2025. According to one source, the dates for introducing fees and for the opening of the first two lots are given differently — January 2026 and July 2024 respectively.
