The city of Changwon, South Korea, has announced the construction of a new municipal parking lot for camper vans. It will be the third such facility in the city, part of a policy to create a distributed network of small parking zones to address illegal camper parking.
The 43-space lot will be located under the Hyeondong Bridge in the Masanhappo-gu district. According to some sources, construction will begin in March; others say February. Completion is scheduled for September 2026. The project budget is 5 billion won.
After opening, the parking lot will be free until the end of 2026, and will become paid from January 2027.
