Award-winning Anglesey caravan park gets green light for expansion

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has bought a luxury Airstream caravan branded with Supreme for £67,000. He revealed it in his YouTube series, which has about 4.4 million subscribers. The caravan, purchased in the US, features a kitchen and seating area, all decorated with Supreme products. Haaland plans to drive it to a location and spend the night inside.

On the evening of September 7, an explosion in Bonnyrigg, near Dalhousie Chesters Court, completely destroyed a caravan. Firefighters were alerted at 9:25 PM and dispatched two appliances. Witnesses reported loud bangs and a large volume of flames. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire was extinguished and the area made safe. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.

Wight Buggin' festival will take place from September 11 to 14 at Retro Staycations in Ryde, which was named Best Campsite 2025. The event features a Friday disco, Saturday live bands and DJs, including Blonde Bombshell and Hush Silent Disco, and a relaxed Sunday with local ale and food. Dover District Council has opened a public consultation on a proposal to ban overnight campervan parking on Sandown Road in Deal. Residents have complained about rubbish, gas canisters and camping gear left near their homes. The restrictions would apply only to the stretch between Sandown Castle and Godwyn Road and would not affect seafront parking. The consultation runs until September 11.

SRE Associates from Cockermouth has submitted an application to Westmorland and Furness Council for a holiday park with 130 lodges on a 30.21-hectare site at Bright Tarn, on Greystoke Moor in the Penrith area. The development, designed to last 50 years, is expected to create the equivalent of 18 full-time jobs, comprising eight full-time and 20 part-time staff. The proposed 130 holiday caravans would be built in three phases, along with 143 parking spaces. Environmental reports have flagged the site's proximity to protected waterways.
