Andalgalá launches the first Rodantero Route in Catamarca, targeting itinerant tourism

Marcelo Torres from Mendoza, Argentina, drove over 13,000 km in a motorhome from Mendoza to Kansas City to fulfill a travel promise made to his deceased wife. He departed alone on May 5, crossed borders and vandalism incidents over a month, arriving on June 8. The journey will continue to Dallas and Miami, following the Argentine national team.

Arrecifes is hosting a caravan of about 20 motorhomes, campers, and travel trailers from the Ranchomóvil Club Argentino de Buenos Aires this long weekend. On Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the vehicles will be displayed on Rivadavia Street, which will be closed to traffic. After touring the city center, participants will move to the railway station and then settle at the Acampar campsite.

The family has contacted Belgian and German authorities for help; the manufacturer suggests driving 860 km to a Volkswagen service center.

Carlos Lami, an electrician from Argentina, fulfilled his lifelong dream by traveling Ruta 40 in a motorhome he built himself with his nephew. They plan to complete the route in 30–40 days, stopping at places they like. Part of the journey will be done by bicycle, starting from kilometer zero of the highway.

Cristina Le Mehauté, a renowned Argentine landscape designer, sold all her belongings at age 74 and moved into a motorhome. She continues to work, consulting clients remotely and traveling to project sites. Her motorhome, named La Mecha, was custom-designed to include a workspace and leisure area.

The municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia is developing regulations for motorhome parking and overnight stays. Proposed locations include northern and southern areas, as well as the Auto Moto Club site. The initiative aims to organize tourism and attract private investment.
