German tuning studio Dietrich has unveiled the Living Driver Single Cab project based on the DAF XG+ truck. The passenger seat was removed to make room for a sofa, a kitchen unit with a microwave and coffee machine, and a pull-out sink with a hidden toilet. Motorhome and camper manufacturer LMC (Lord Münsterland Caravan) is negotiating the reduction of 160 jobs at its Sassenberg plant in North Rhine-Westphalia. The move reflects a post-pandemic demand slump: German registrations fell over 15% year-on-year in 2025–2026. The company, part of Erwin Hymer Group (Thor Industries), is adjusting capacity to market conditions. No final agreement has been reached yet.
