Water leaking under a motorhome in low temperatures is often caused by the antifreeze valve, which protects the water system from freezing. The valve opens automatically when the temperature drops, partially draining the circuit. On some models, it can only be reset after the interior has warmed to around 6–7 °C. Manufacturers advise against blocking the valve in the closed position, as this can damage the water heater.
