In Brief

Several French TV channels are broadcasting programs about families traveling in motorhomes, campers, and converted vans. The stories cover routes across Europe and the world, including unexpected situations and everyday challenges.

French television channels are actively airing programs about motorhome travel. On April 30, 2026, at 9:10 PM on RMC Story, the 13th episode of the series "La folie du camping-car : des vacances pas comme les autres" was broadcast. It features three families: Aurelie and Erwan with children toured southern Europe in six months and arrived in Germany for a motorcycle Grand Prix; Marie and Jo traveled across France with concerts over two years; Erwan and Aline with their daughter embarked on an 18-month round-the-world trip in a truck, starting from Brittany. The new season consists of 6 episodes of 70 minutes each, airing Thursdays at 9:10 PM.

On June 14, 2026, at 9:10 PM on TFX, the show "Camping-cars: Les vacances de leur vie" (produced by MAGMAX PRODUCTIONS and TF1 Production) will premiere, following six families traveling in motorhomes, vans, buses, or in a convoy. Earlier, TF1+ released the program "Vacances en camping-car : l'aventure sur la route !" (1 hour 32 minutes), hosted by Karine Ferri, showcasing four families: a honeymoon in Iceland, a tour of Latin America, a van conversion, and a convoy of 19 vehicles. The M6+ TV program also aired a documentary about families traveling in motorhomes, covering routes from the Dordogne to Brittany and the Spanish Pyrenees.

According to one source, last year 1.5 million French people chose holidays in motorhomes, campers, and converted vans.
