Standard car insurance is usually insufficient for a motorhome during vacation. Finanztip recommends a two-stage plan: first obtain a quote from WGV, then compare rates on portals SAW-Assekuranz, Transparent-Beraten, or Gut. Günstig. Versichert. Separate consideration should be given to insuring interior equipment, which is often not covered.

Winterthur voters reject camping renovation, AL launches new initiative

In a referendum, 53% of Winterthur residents voted against renovating the Schützenweiher campsite. The city council sees no legal path to allow permanent camping there. In response, the Alternative List (AL) party, together with campsite residents, launched an initiative demanding a new camping project with at least one-third of the area designated for alternative housing.
