In Suzaka, Japan, the renovated 'Suzaka Kenko no Mori RV Resort' has opened, using trailer homes to enhance disaster resilience. The project was developed by Cumberland Japan from Nagano based on a disaster agreement with the city. The June 2026 renovation added new trailers, large-capacity batteries, and water tanks, enabling off-grid operation during power and water outages. The facility serves as tourist accommodation normally, and trailers can be moved to affected areas during disasters.
