On August 18, Matsue city concluded an agreement with Matsukuru, a company involved in city center development, for the free provision of trailers for first aid during major disasters. The trailers, measuring 7.2 by 2.6 meters, are equipped with air conditioning, a toilet, and a washbasin.
This is the first such agreement in the city since the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, when trailers came to be seen as a quick and inexpensive solution for temporary facilities. According to NHK, the agreement involves renting trailers from a private company for use in shelters and infection control measures. The trailers will be towed by vehicles.
