A 32-foot travel trailer exploded and caught fire in Lecanto, Florida. Two adults and two children were hospitalized, with firefighters containing the blaze within 17 minutes. The Florida State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the incident.

The Element Life YouTube channel, created by nomad Nate, focuses on minimalist camper conversions and off-grid living. Launched in 2016 with a self-built Honda Element camper, the channel has 111,000 subscribers and over 21.8 million views.

Flooding at River’s Edge RV Resort has caused mass booking cancellations. The owner stated that due to inaccurate media reports of 200 evacuees, summer reservations dropped to zero and refund losses exceeded $40,000, although water primarily damaged vehicles, not RVs.

The Dyrt's 2026 Camping Report indicates that 52.2% of US campers opt for RVs and trailers. Demand is driving the expansion of relevant sites: 51.6% of private campgrounds increased RV sites in 2025. Preferences are strongly age-dependent: this type of camping is chosen by 21% of campers under 34 and 64% over 65.
