Shanwei in Guangdong province has become a winter hotspot, attracting numerous RV travelers from across China with its warm climate and coastline. Key areas like Hongcao New Village and Dahu Town offer free parking with basic amenities, directly boosting local income through visitor spending on seafood and goods. However, the sustainability of these free, community-managed campsites is challenged by operational costs and a need for professional management and integration with local tourism offerings.
