The Japan RV Association continues to expand its network of paid overnight parking lots for car sleepers. In Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the RV Park Asobi-no-mori Greenfield has opened, located a 3-minute drive from the Sanyo Expressway. The park offers spacious parking spots, mini-cabins, and covered wooden terraces. The cost is 3500 yen per night per spot, with 3 spots available. Facilities include toilets, showers, electricity, water (well water, not for drinking), and waste disposal for a separate fee. Pets are allowed, and there is a paid dog run. Reservations are required one day before arrival.
The second facility, RV Park Osasa, is located on a pasture at an altitude of 1300 m in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. The park operates from mid-April to late October, accommodates 12 vehicles, and costs from 3900 yen per night. It has 24-hour toilets, electricity, and water, but visitors must take their trash with them. Dairy products from Brown Swiss cows are sold on site.
