Caravan trip through Western Australia: Kimberley, Uluru and red dust

Kathy and Glen have described a four-to-five-month caravan trip through Western Australia and the Northern Territory. They visited the Kimberley, Uluru, Kings Canyon, Lake Argyle, Broome and Purnululu, and swam with whale sharks at Ningaloo. According to Kathy, summer rains had left the Northern Territory and the Nullarbor green, contrary to their expectations of desert. Their dog Lily travelled with them; a purchased dog backpack proved impractical because Lily was reluctant to stay in it and some venues did not admit dogs even in backpacks. Kathy advises allowing more time than planned, as even four to five months were not enough to see everything.
