A retired couple from Ciputat, South Tangerang, Banten, is preparing for a round-the-world trip in a campervan. Teuku Faisal Laksamana (65), a former Bank Indonesia employee, and his wife Indriati (61) will start their expedition on July 13, 2026 from Tangerang.
The route goes through Pontianak, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan), Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and Bulgaria. Due to Saudi Arabia's 40-day visa limit, the itinerary has been changed: Europe first, then the Middle East.
This will be the couple's fourth major journey after successful trips across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The campervan was self-modified.
