Camping-Car Magazine has published its October ranking of motorhome stopovers most viewed by readers. The top five consists mainly of simple municipal stopovers in Limousin, Lorraine, Perche, Poitou and Normandy. Three are completely free and two overlook a lake or river. Saint-Amand-Magnazeix in Haute-Vienne tops the list with 10 pitches, free parking and water and electricity at €2. Pont-d’Ouilly in Calvados offers 45 pitches by the Orne for €14.50 per 24 hours, with a decreasing rate for longer stays.
