On May 4, 2026, the Grand Théâtre de Québec hosted a film conference by Belgian traveler-filmmaker Marc Temmerman about his van trip through Morocco. The event was part of the 2025–2026 Great Explorers season.
Temmerman presented a film shot solo using fixed frames, avoiding decorative camera movements in favor of "living photography." The route ran from Tangier to Dakhla. The film touches on political themes, including youth protests against spending on the 2030 World Cup and the demolition of homes in Imssouane for development.
During the trip, the filmmaker helped a Berber shepherd repair a roof, observed Ramadan, captured the last images of Imssouane before the demolition of fishermen's houses, and faced restrictions on wild camping in Dakhla.
