Expansion
Lawson has expanded its overnight car stay (車中泊) service at store parking lots. From July 17, Saitama, Shizuoka and Aichi joined the Chiba region, bringing the total to 28 stores. In Aichi, the service started in Nisshin, Okazaki and Inuyama.
Terms
Prices range from 2500 to 3000 yen per night. The service includes toilet access, electricity (up to 1500 W), garbage disposal (one bag) and in-store shopping. Booking and prepayment are made via a dedicated website. The engine must be turned off.
Plans
By fiscal 2026, the company aims to expand to 70 stores in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Mie and Gifu. In Gifu Prefecture, the possibility will be considered by the end of the current fiscal year.
