The number of caravans and motorhomes used as residences in Palma de Mallorca is increasing amid the housing crisis. Residents of Platja de Palma and Ciutat Jardí complain about parking shortages, litter, noise, and coexistence issues. According to a mid-2025 census, there are 156 such vehicles in the city, but locals estimate 60-80 in Ciutat Jardí alone. Neighborhood associations demand that the city council create designated, serviced parking areas.
